Schedule Control

The Schedule Control feature in PublishPress Blocks allows you to control when a specific Gutenberg block will start and stop showing.

You can add the following restrictions to any Gutenberg block:

  • Schedule when to start showing a block
  • Schedule when to stop showing a block
  • Schedule when to start showing and stop showing a block

Schedule a block between the selected dates

If you want to show a block between the selected dates, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Block Controls panel
  2. Enable block schedule
  3. Select a date for Start showing
  4. Select a date for Stop showing

Optionally, if you want to show the block between the selected dates every year, enable “Recurring”.

Schedule a block from a starting date

If you want to show a block forever (starting from a specific date), follow these steps:

  • Go to Block Controls panel
  • Enable block schedule
  • Select a date for Start showing
  • Leave Stop showing as “Never”

Schedule a block until a selected date

If you want to show a block until reaching a selected date, follow these steps:

  • Go to the “Block Controls” panel in the right siderbar.
  • Click “Enable block schedule”.
  • Leave “Start showing” as “Now”.
  • Select a “Stop showing” date.

Timezone

The timezone used in this feature is the same one configured in your WordPress site through Settings > General > Timezone
