pp_edit_editorial_metadata

The pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission in the PublishPress Planner plugin allows users to the ability to update the metadata fields when they are editing a post.

Who has the pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission? #

The pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission is available on single WordPress sites and on multisite networks.

By default, the pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission is given to Super Admins, Administrators, Editors, and Authors.

Users not in these roles are not allowed to update metadata.


Control who has the pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission #

You can control who has the pp_edit_editorial_metadata permission by installing the PublishPress Capabilities plugin.

  • After installing PublishPress Capabilities, go to “Capabilities” in your admin menu.
  • Using the dropdown in the top-left corner, choose the role you want to edit.
  • Check or uncheck the “pp_edit_editorial_metadata” box.
