The Gutenberg Editor is often known simply as the block editor. It launched with WordPress 5.0 in 2019.
Gutenberg replaced the “Classic Editor” and introduced a different way of creating content in WordPress.
Blocks are content elements that you add to the edit screen to create content layouts. Each item you add to your post or page is a block.
You can add blocks for each paragraph, images, videos, galleries, audio, lists, and more. There are blocks for most normal content elements, and more can be added by plugins such a PublishPress Blocks.
The new Gutenberg editor in WordPress makes it really easy to share Amazon links. Since the release of WordPress 5.2 in May 2019, you can find an “Amazon Kindle” block. When you’re writing a post in WordPress, click the “Add block” button and you can search for “Amazon Kindle”:

The new Gutenberg editor brings many interesting changes to WordPress. It takes away some features and adds some new improvements. In the case of PublishPress, Gutenberg did take away custom statuses (we hope to have a fix for that very soon). But, it also offered ways to make PublishPress better.
