PublishPress Blocks v3.7.4: Big Improvements to Block Notes

WordPress 6.9 shipped with a very cool feature: Notes.

You can now leave Google Docs-style comments directly on your posts. It’s a fantastic collaboration tool for editorial teams.

The catch? It’s really hard to find. None of the publishers we work with have discovered it yet. PublishPress Blocks makes Notes much easier to use. PublishPress Blocks now has a “Post Notes” screen.

Instead of opening individual posts to check notes, editors can now review notes across their content from one admin view.

Feature highlight: Post Notes

The new Post Notes page appears under the Blocks menu and gives editorial teams a central place to manage notes attached to posts.

  • One screen for all your notes: See notes from across posts in a single table with the related post, post type, note text, author, date, and status.
  • Faster filtering: Narrow the list by post type, status, or post title search so teams can quickly find open or resolved notes.
  • Clear author details: Author initials and avatars make it easier to see who created each note.

Block management improvements

This release also tidies several admin screens to make block settings clearer and easier to navigate.

  • Legacy blocks: Unused older blocks are now grouped in a Legacy area under Settings: Extra Blocks.
