PublishPress Revisions v3.9: WooCommerce Revisions

PublishPress Revisions v3.9.0 makes revision workflows more useful for stores and editorial teams.

The biggest addition is support for WooCommerce Past Revisions, including custom field archiving, so product content changes can be reviewed with more of the same oversight you use for pages and posts.

Feature highlights

  • WooCommerce Past Revisions: With PublishPress Revisions Pro, you can review and preserve WooCommerce changes, including custom field data, as part of your revision history. This screenshot shows a revision for a WooCommerce product:

  • Decline revisions faster: Use the new Decline button in the Edit Revision sidebar to reject proposed changes without hunting for another action.

  • Menu counter icon: The Revisions menu now shows a counter icon so teams can spot revision activity more quickly from the dashboard.

  • Revision editor color option: Change the Revision Editor background color to help reviewers distinguish the revision workspace from regular editing. You can change this color by going to Revisions > Setting > New Revisions > Submission.

  • Front end page indicator: Pages can now show an indicator when revisions have been created, helping teams notice pending work while browsing the site.

Other changes

This release also includes stability fixes and cleanup work, with security related maintenance included in the update.

  • Past Revisions on activation: New installs now redirect to the Past Revisions screen on first activation, making it easier to find the core workflow immediately.
  • Fatal error prevention: The plugin now handles an invalid post value passed to the revisions retention check more safely.
  • Post Copy fix: Copying posts no longer fails with a fatal error before plugin settings are saved again.
  • Sidebar layout cleanup: Misaligned elements in the Revision Editor sidebar have been corrected.
  • Status filter count fix: The New Revisions All filter count is no longer doubled when PublishPress Statuses Pro is active.
  • Cleaner submenu counts: A redundant counter on the Revision submenu item has been removed.

If your site uses WooCommerce, PublishPress Statuses Pro, or a review workflow with multiple editors, this is a worthwhile update to schedule promptly.
