PublishPress Cart 1.0.1: Customers Screen, Clearer Labels and UI Polish

PublishPress Cart 1.0.1 is the first version we’ve released since launching on WordPress.org. Click here for the listing on the WordPress repo.

This first release is on making the plugin easier to understand and more consistent in the WordPress admin. The biggest user-facing change is that “Contacts” is now “Customers,” with order customer names linking directly to customer reports.

Clearer customer management

The former Contacts screen has been renamed to Customers, which better matches how store owners think about buyers and order history.

  • Customers screen: The admin label now uses “Customers” instead of “Contacts” for clearer navigation.
  • Customer report links: Customer names in orders now link to the related customer reports, making it faster to review purchase activity.

Subscription wording improvements

The unlimited subscription option has been renamed from “Never expires” to “Until canceled.” This wording is clearer for both store owners and customers because it better describes an ongoing subscription that remains active until someone cancels it.

Other changes

  • Settings and upgrade prompts: Links used in settings and upgrade prompts now use traceable PublishPress links.
  • Product editor buttons: Buttons in the product editor now match the blue button style used in the settings area.
  • Steve is the founder of PublishPress. He's been working with open source software for over 20 years. Originally from the UK, he now lives in Sarasota in the USA. This profile is generated by the PublishPress Authors plugin.
