The edit_post_subscriptions permission in the PublishPress Planner plugin allows users to access the “Notifications” box when editing a post. This allows them to control who receives updates about that post.

Who has the edit_post_subscriptions permission? #

The edit_post_subscriptions permission is available on single WordPress sites and on multisite networks.

By default, the edit_post_subscriptions permission is given to Super Admins, Administrators, Editors, Authors, and Contributors.

Users not in these roles are not allowed to customize who receives notifications for each post.


Control who has the edit_post_subscriptions permission #

You can control who has the edit_post_subscriptions permission by installing the PublishPress Capabilities plugin.

  • After installing PublishPress Capabilities, go to “Capabilities” in your admin menu.
  • Using the dropdown in the top-left corner, choose the role you want to edit.
  • Check or uncheck the “edit post subscriptions” box in the “PublishPress Capabilities” area.
